Isn't It Ironic?
(Jill, Sorry it took me so long to change the post, but I just didn't have anything to say nor the time to say it in. Hopefully all queasiness now fades.)
Aselya is one of those children who loves to wear band-aids. Most of the time, there is no real boo-boo, blood, or pain associated with said wearing of band-aid. Last week, we restocked our supply of band-aids and Aselya "needed" one on her forehead. She then wore it to school, the library, stores, and everywhere we went. She claimed that it "hurt really bad" so the band-aid could not be removed.
I believe the band-aid was placed on Thursday, and despite bathing and all it remained until last night. When the band-aid was removed, it left a big red mark (very welt-like) on her forehead.
How funny is it that the very thing that was "preventing" pain and anguish actually caused a bit of trauma?
Not only is it funny, but ironic (and not the Alanis version of irony either).
The aftermath:
You can clearly see where her band-aid was. Kids, gotta love 'em. |
